Aromatherapy and Vaporization

 

Since dating back to 8 BC different herbal medicines have been smoked to relieve different ailments or problems with humans such as stress relief and other symptoms. Today we look to safer methods through vaporization of herbs to help cure these common problems. Vaporization in short is the act of extracting the healing properties out of the herb without burning or combustion making it a healthier alternative. This can be done by grabbing a hand dandy pen, portable or stationary vaporizer. For those who are new to the whole vaporizer concept we will explain in short here.

 

Now we get to the part about which are the best herbs to vaporize. Many of them may surprise you as they can also be consumed and are often used as fixings on meals! The list goes as follows:

 

-Basil: Ideal Vaporizing temperature 130 C (266 F)
Basil can be vaporized and used to ease a gassy stomach and has relaxing qualities that ease upset stomachs, While it is a safe herb to vaporize it should not be used too much by pregnant women as it has been known to give premature contractions.

-Green Tea Leaves: Ideal Vaporizing temperature 178 C (252 F)
Not only can you drink it but you can vaporize it’s leaves as well! Through vaporization it has been known to alleviate depression as well as increase your energy level and sooth aches and pains.

 

-Peppermint: Ideal Vaporizing temperature 124 C (255 F)
This is a great herb to vaporize if you have a cold or are experiencing symptoms of nausea or allergies and it’s taste is especially soothing.

 

-Hops: Ideal Vaporizing temperature depends on the kind of hop
Yes you read correctly, known as a main ingredient in beer it also has vaporizing qualities! Since there are a countless number of different hops the health benefits range but most of them create a relaxing euphoria type of experience.

 

-Cannabis:Ideal Vaporizing temperature 185 C (365 F)
Well you surely knew this one was coming but Cannabis does have different healing properties, including pains associated with cancer treatment, relief of depression as well as common effects such as increase in appetite and relaxation!

 

-Lavender: Ideal Vaporizing temperature 130 C (266 F)
Lavender exudes a pleasurable taste and can be used to treat insomnia and pain relief! It is recommended that you grind up your lavender very finely and use a small amount as effects sometimes take up to 10 minutes to kick in.

While this particular herb does give you a buzz and is said to complement Cannabis extremely well it also gives relief in hypertensive conditions and gastric problems.
